Great Big Sea is a familiar name to most Atlantic Canadians such as myself. They've brought a new sound to music, and spread the word of Newfoundland culture like a child spreads a cold.
Their talent is recognized throughout Canada, and most of the United States, making them one of the most respected and popular Newfoundland bands.
All four of the original members originated from that beautiful rock in the middle of the North Atlantic.

The saddest moment to any long-time fan, was the day bassist Darrell walked away. He desired to spend more time with his growing family, and persue other interests. The other band-mates respected his decision thoroughly, understanding how hard life on the road can be.
He will most definatly be missed...
